Following the success of Helen Butcher in an earlier trial concerning the £ Million banking fraud against NatWest Bank, Daniel Jameson and Alex Taylor-Camara secure acquittals for their clients.
The case concerned a loan brokerage company who targeted and encouraged desperate people within the Turkish community seeking to obtain loans to improve their families' lives.
Many of the defendants did not speak English, and were taken advantage of by the unscrupulous brokers who secured loans for them at very high interest rates. Fortunately, despite being taken advantage of by the brokers and then prosecuted for applying for loans, they were all unanimously acquitted.
