ECHR says no to arbitrary eviction
David Watkinson has secured victory for tenants facing eviction as the European Court of Human Rights ruled today in Kay and Ors v UK that it is for the courts and not local authorities to decide when eviction can be permitted.

Legal Services Commission judicial review results in award of contract
Marc Willers was recently instructed by Community Law Partnership (CLP) to represent the firm in judicial review proceedings brought against the Legal Services Commission (LSC) following the rejection of its bid for a Social Welfare Law contract.

Fraud warning involving Halifax Bank and Garden Court Chambers
We have become aware that members of the public have been contacted by fraudsters purporting to be from Garden Court Chambers. The latest versions of these have included rubber ink stamps and seals which look official.
