Following a two-week trial at Isleworth Crown Court, the jury acquitted Jacob’s client of all charges. The defendant was charged with conspiracy to commit criminal damage, affray and assault, with intent to resist arrest, following a direct action protest carried out by Palestine Action in Mayfair in 2021, against a company that had been leasing property to Elbit, a major Israeli arms manufacturer.

Paint was sprayed on the outside of the building, and an altercation broke out with a security guard, of which Jacob’s client intervened to assist one of the co-defendants. Of the six defendants, Jacob’s client, who was first on the indictment, and one other, were acquitted, while the others were convicted of some counts.
