The conference will be taking place on 6th October 2017 and will bring together a core group of judges and lawyers from 7 European countries.
The conference is organised by ECPAT UK and ECPAT France – as to the non punishment principle of child victims of human trafficking and exploitation as applied throughout different countries.
In the UK, the Modern Slavery Act 2015 has introduced a statutory defence for victims who commit an offence and particular considerations to apply to children and young people.
Paramjit Ahluwalia is a member of the Garden Court Chambers Crime Team and regularly practices and writes in the field of trafficking, Modern Slavery, exploitation and immigration crime.
