Alex Taylor-Camara of the Garden Court Crime Team acted for the defendant, instructed by Jeffrey Muhammad of Amosu Robinshaw Solicitors.
The case concerned the finding of a firearm and substantial cash in the home of the defendant, a young mother of previous good character.
The defendant was accused of storing a gun and a substantial sum of money at her home. Despite protesting her innocence, the defendant’s acquittal was only secured following a full review of complex disclosure requests made in a detailed defence statement.
The case raised significant issues of disclosure which could not adequately be answered by the prosecution.
After a careful and full review of disclosure obligations, the prosecution offered no evidence against the defendant who was found not guilty of all allegations.
