Alex Taylor-Camara has secured the unanimous acquittal of his client, charged with drugs and firearms offences, following a seven-day trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
Alex was instructed by Abdul Mojid and Tarjana Hussain of AM Solicitors.
The prosecution alleged that the defendant was actively involved in preparing controlled substances for onward supply and served evidence including cell site phone data, fingerprint, DNA, CCTV and body camera footage.
The case engaged the interplay of complex matters including the validity of the prosecution’s allegation of joint enterprise for possession with intent to supply given that he allegedly played a limited role in the operation and that the prosecution chose not to prosecute a conspiracy or under the Serious Crime Act 2007.
Alex also engaged the court in considering what intent on the defendant’s part needed to be proved and whether the defendant was a principal or secondary offender.
