We are delighted to announce that Alex Temple has joined Garden Court Chambers as a new tenant.
Alex is a barrister specialising in public law, discrimination and human rights. He has extensive experience in education, community care, policing and criminal records.
Alex often advises children and vulnerable adults in cases arising from schools, colleges, exam boards, universities, integrated care boards and local and central government. Alex acts regularly in claims for judicial review, EHCP appeals and money claims. He has experience acting in proposed strategic litigation, and advises changemaking individuals and organisations.
Alex practised as a Solicitor Advocate at Just for Kids Law, and at the law firm, Bindmans LLP. Alex developed a reputation for bringing strategic and novel actions in education and community care for individuals and organisations looking to make strategic change.
At Just for Kids Law, Alex engaged in policy influencing which included briefing parliamentary groups, lobbying government officials and engaging with the press to build strategies to support legal actions intended to bring about lasting change.
At Bindmans LLP, he represented extremely vulnerable young people and adults being denied fundamental support for their education, health and social care. He is able to untangle these extremely complex situations and advise on practical legal solutions to seek urgent change.
Alex is a Trustee of the Legal Education Foundation and Fellow of the Justice First Fellowship.
