Ched Evans was convicted of rape in 2012. After an application drafted by David, the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) announced in October 2015, after a ten-month investigation, that they were referring the conviction back to the Court of Appeal.

Reporting restrictions have been imposed which prevent publication of the details of the appeal.

The appeal has received extensive media coverage.

Kieran Vaughan QC and David Emanuel are instructed by Shaun Draycott of Draycott Browne.
