Adrian Berry, Liz Davies and Connor Johnston worked with Crisis to draft legislation that extends protection for renters and requires local authorities to provide temporary accommodation to all who are homeless, irrespective of their immigration status, in order to protect public health during the COVID-19 crisis and its aftermath.

To ease the burden on local authorities assisting homeless persons during this period, the draft legislation also provides for financial support from central government for people who are not eligible for public funds and temporarily suspends the benefit cap. The legislation is part of Crisis’ Home For All campaign. The end of homelessness is within our reach.
