Twanieka Alcindor represented a defendant charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis and being concerned with the supply of cannabis, which had an estimated street value of £113k.

The case involved the police intelligence at an address where several men were seen entering with large machetes. Police arrival resulted in the seizure of several large bags of cannabis and numerous cannabis plants from within the address.

The defendant was a passenger in a vehicle stationed outside the address, which was being loaded with the large bags of cannabis, no other persons were captured or arrested in connection with this matter.

Twanieka’s detailed disclosure requests, in preparation for the defence at trial, resulted in the prosecution’s review of the case and their subsequent decision to offer no evidence, days before the listed trial.
