The defendant faced allegations of dangerous driving, actual bodily harm (ABH) and criminal damage arising from a road traffic collision. The case involved meticulous preparation by the legal team to ensure thorough scrutiny of video footage, and careful cross-examination by James Scobie KC.

The allegations arose following an incident with another motorist. The prosecution alleged that the defendant had deliberately driven at the complainant, using his vehicle as a weapon, causing injury and damage to a parked car. The prosecution presented video footage from the vehicle to support their case.

Attending police officers at the scene were equipped with body-worn video cameras capturing the immediate aftermath of the collision, which, upon examination, supported the defence’s case. The footage demonstrated the defendant’s demeanour and that witnesses at the scene had attempted to give an account consistent with the defendant’s version of events.

Following a six-day trial at Isleworth Crown Court, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on all counts.
