Five other defendants pleaded guilty and received a combined sentence of 25 years.

After two hard fought trials the defendant, CI, was found not guilty. The case was extremely complex, voluminous and involved the instruction of numerous experts on topics from EncroChat phones, Class A and B drug 'tick' lists, to sniffer dogs at the Notting Hill Carnival.

The defence also called live evidence from Holland to successfully rebut adverse inferences in relation to international calls on one of the many days it was alleged CI supplied cocaine.
