Drones and the law: Susan Bryant on BBC Radio 4’s Law in Action

Garden Court barrister Susan Bryant appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Law in Action to discuss the limits of the law in regulating drone technology. During the discussion she raised several human rights concerns, drawing upon her experience as Director of Rights Watch (UK). Susan previously represented the first defendant prosecuted for flying drones in violation of the Air Navigation Order. He was a hobbyist fined for using a drone which filmed around football stadiums, parliament and Buckingham Palace. The case was reported by the Guardian.

Susan Bryant joined the Garden Court Chambers Crime Team last week after completing a third-six pupillage in Chambers.
