This seminar will cover FGM (female genital mutilation) and FM (forced marriage) protection orders and the impact of FGM and FM on care proceedings.
The seminar will feature speakers from FORWARD UK and inFrinGeMent who will talk about the FGM related work that they do.
FORWARD (Foundation for Women’s Health Research and Development) is committed to gender equality and safeguarding the rights of African girls and women. inFrinGeMent is a small grass roots organisation aimed at educating, empowering and informing professionals and members of the community about Female Genital Mutilation; with emphasis on the legality and health consequences of it.
