Join us for a practical briefing on the post-For Women Scotland landscape — what it means for equality law, unions, and employers.
The Supreme Court’s decision in For Women Scotland has redefined how “sex” is interpreted under the Equality Act, with major consequences for workers, unions, and employers. This session provides a clear, practical briefing on what the ruling means for trans and non-binary staff, those with Gender Recognition Certificates, and employers seeking to balance competing rights.
We will examine the impact on single-sex services, equal pay claims, workplace policies, and union strategies — highlighting where inclusive practice remains possible and where litigation risks may now arise. The session also looks ahead: what remains uncertain, how test cases may develop, and how HR teams, reps, and lawyers can prepare.
Designed for caseworkers, trade union reps, employment lawyers, and HR professionals, this webinar offers the tools to navigate the post-FWS landscape with confidence and minimise the risk of future claims.
We will also address the litigation risks emerging post-FWS, what remains unclear, and how to prepare for potential future claims or challenges. Suitable for caseworkers, reps, lawyers, and HR professionals looking to stay ahead of the curve.
