This event will focus on how international human rights law and the women, peace and security agenda has helped to combat and prevent violence against women. It will discuss how the UN has responded to sexual violence in conflict (prevention and accountability) and recent developments in international human rights law. It will conclude with some observations on violence against women in the UK.
