Giles Cockings KC of the Garden Court Crime Team secured full acquittals at the Old Bailey for his client who was wrongly identified as ‘the shooter’ in a drive by ‘gang’-land triple shooting.

Facing allegations of murder, attempted murder, and firearms offences, TS was unanimously cleared of all charges following an 11-week trial and a major criminal investigation, Operation Blandway.

The prosecution’s case was that the target of the shooting was a well-known local rapper called ‘Trapstar Toxic’.

The gun had been used in two shootings in the same area in the previous three months.

The case involved full forensic and detailed analysis of CCTV evidence, gun-shot residue, ballistics, and extensive ‘gang’ and drill‑music material.

This high profile trial was designated to be heard by a High Court Judge and was prosecuted by Crispin Aylett KC and Ben Holt (Treasury Counsel).

Those facing trial were TS, SS, PA and AS.

Giles Cockings KC led Adrian Rohard and the team for TS.

Giles was instructed by the highly experienced defence solicitor Claire Dissington of GT Stewart  Solicitors.
