In R (MW) v Secretary of State for the Home Department HHJ Gore QC sitting as a High Court judge directed that there be a “rolled up” hearing to determine the issue of permission and a substantive hearing on 7 July 2021 in respect of concerns as to accommodation provided by the Secretary of State for the Home Office in a community setting for an asylum seeker and her two small children consisting of one room with sleeping and cooking facilities and concerns raised by health officials as to safeguards and welfare of the children.

This case, as in the case of R(MK) v Secretary of State referred to in the news item of 24 May 2021, is considering the adequacy and the standard of accommodation provided by the Home Office to asylum seekers.
