Published this week, the Independent Commission on UK Counter-Terrorism Law, Policy and Practice Report has set out recommendations to strengthen oversight and accountability of the UK’s counter-terrorism framework in line with the Rule of Law and the UK’s international obligations.
Garden Court barrister Amanda Weston KC is one of the Commissioners who contributed to the three-year examination on how law, policy, and operational practice have aligned with and supported the government’s counter-terrorism strategy.
Amanda is one of 14 Commissioners selected for their expertise, experience and understanding of counter-terrorism law and policy, its implementation and impact on communities.
