Joanne Harris appointed new Circuit Judge

Joanne was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in the County Court in July 2002, and a Recorder in 2004 and is a parent governor of a local primary school. She previously lectured in land law and law of trusts on LLB and CPE courses. Joanne was Treasurer of Chambers for six years and has two young sons.

The Ministry of Justice press release announced as follows:
"HM The Queen has appointed Joanne Olga Charlotte Harris to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Jack Straw MP. The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, has assigned her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Watford County Court with effect from Friday 23 November 2007."
