‘Judicial Review: A Practical Guide’ (third edition, Lexis Nexis) is newly published and now available to purchase. The guide goes through each step of the court process, from initial instructions to appeals and costs, and provides extensive case examples drawn from a broad range of claims. The guide also includes procedural checklists and a library of precedents.

The guide should be the first port of call in all matters concerning judicial review applications, whether in civil or criminal proceedings. This new edition has been significantly amended to take account of developments in law and practice, including:

Amanda Weston is co-author of previous editions of ‘Judicial Review: A Practical Guide’. She has a broad judicial review claimant practice spanning 20 years and regularly undertakes leading work. Amanda specialises in challenges to government policy, particularly relating to community care, health, discrimination, prisons, citizenship and national security.
