Leslie Thomas has been named as a leading campaigner in The Lawyer magazine’s Hot 100 list. Leslie is recognised for the work he does regarding deaths in custody and at the hands of the police.
The Hot 100, compiled by The Lawyer magazine, constitutes a list of the ‘lawyers to watch’ in the coming year. This includes individuals working in, among other areas, corporate law, finance, family law and litigation. This issue draws special attention to those who are striving for social justice by taking on work funded by legal aid, and Leslie is one of the individuals highlighted in this ‘campaigners’ section.
The magazine details Leslie’s dedication to representing the families of those who have died in custody or at the hands of police, and highlights his role representing Mark Duggan’s loved ones in the recent inquest into his death.
Leslie is joined in the rankings by peers including Raju Bhatt of Bhatt Murphy, Margaret Gordon of Christian Khan solicitors, Maura McGowan QC of the Bar Council and Carol Storer of the Legal Aid Practitioners Group.
Leslie Thomas is a member of the Claims Against the Police and Public Authorities Team and the Inquests Team.
