Maya Sikand has accepted an invitation to join the eminent team of Contributing Editors to Archbold. Published annually, the major work is relied on by criminal lawyers throughout England and Wales, and beyond.
Joining a team of high profile criminal barristers and members of the judiciary, Maya will be editing and updating three chapters in time for the 2015 edition:
- The Criminal Jurisdiction of the Crown Court
- Bail, Appearance of Accused for Trial, Presence during Trial
- Forgery, Personation and Cheating
At the same time, Maya will be stepping down as a contributor to Blackstone’s Criminal Practice, to which she has contributed four chapters for the last seven years.
The new edition is expected to be published in October 2014.
Maya Sikand is a member of the Garden Court Crime Team, with particular expertise in representing young people charged with serious crime, specialist criminal appeals and public law challenges arising from the criminal justice system.
