Oscar Davies’ book, titled ‘Queers Know Your Rights’, is to be published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, scheduled for Autumn 2027.
The synopsis of Queers Know Your Rights states it is a “timely and essential pocketbook” for LGBTQ+ people living in the UK. The book has also been described as part “legal guide, part community survival handbook”.
Oscar Davies is a discrimination, public law and human rights barrister specialising in complex Equality Act and Convention rights litigation. They are ranked as a Rising Star in the Legal 500 for Employment Law (2024–2026) and Education Law (2026).
The publisher described the book as written in an “accessible, queer-focused voice”, and that it helps to demystifies legal protections and rights across areas including identity, work, education, healthcare, housing, immigration and public life.

Oscar is frequently instructed in appellate, strategic and high-profile matters involving discrimination, human rights and public law issues, including proceedings before the Employment Appeal Tribunal and European Court of Human Rights. Their work often raises complex and novel questions concerning belief discrimination, gender identity, procedural fairness and Convention rights.
