Rebecca Hill has successfully secured the dismissal of "ticket touting" charges against a Serbian man on the grounds that the English court did not have jurisdiction to try him.

The defendant, an employee of a Serbian ticket agency, was charged under the London Olympic and Paralympic Games Act 2006 with offering for sale tickets otherwise than in accordance with a LOCOG written authorisation. The proceedings arose from evidence secured by investigative journalists working for the Sunday Times and related to conduct undertaken by the defendant (a Serbian national) entirely upon Serbian territory.

Rebecca was instructed by Sutovic Hartigan Solicitors.
