Smita Shah has been invited to join the Advisory Board of a UNICEF UK project on Bringing Children’s Rights Into Domestic Law: International Best Practice.

UNICEF UK set up the project to look at legislative best practice where the Convention on the Rights of the Child has been brought into domestic law in other jurisdictions, and to make recommendations for the UK.

Speaking about her appointment, Smita said "When I was approached by UNICEF I said that I would be delighted to assist in any way I can. It is a great honour to be working with them and to be using my expertise to help shape policies that will affect so many children’s lives."
