The Home Office have this week reinstated the revoked sponsor licence of a national mixed service care provider. Ubah Dirie of the Garden Court Business Immigration team, was instructed early in the process by Edward O’Brien of Lester Aldridge, to provide strategic and comprehensive advice and representation which helped the client to avoid expensive litigation.

The last 18 months has seen a surge in sponsor licence revocations across all sectors but particularly the care sector. In this environment of heightened enforcement, organisations who find themselves under the Home Office’s spotlight need to adopt a proactive and robust approach by obtaining advice early on.

The consequences of revocation in this case would have threatened the continued viability of the care provider. The loss of such a highly rated service would have had a significant detrimental impact on its extremely vulnerable service users.
