We are delighted to announce that Stephanie Harrison has won the Human Rights and Public Law Junior of the Year award, as awarded at the prestigious Chambers UK Bar Awards 2012. The award was announced at a ceremony attended by over 500 distinguished guests at the Park Lane Hilton on 25 October.

Stephanie is well known for her broad human rights expertise, especially in the fields of asylum, immigration detention, national security, control orders and discrimination. She is one of a small number of barristers in England and Wales undertaking Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) cases, involving a national security or terrorism issue. The judges were impressed with her work in the Supreme Court this year, where, led by Michael Fordham QC, she successfully argued for "confidentiality orders" for sensitive evidence and vulnerable witnesses in an immigration appeal.
