Abdul is developing a busy criminal practice across the Youth, Magistrates’ and Crown Courts. He brings a particular focus on trauma-informed lawyering, informed by his previous work in homelessness, youth justice, and law reform.

Abdul brings substantial experience in policy and law reform to his practice, including as the first Linklaters Legal Fellow at JUSTICE in 2022, where he worked on criminal and human rights law projects affecting marginalised communities and contributed to its report: Lowering the Standard.

Before practising in the UK, he qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor in Nigeria in 2019, and served as a Senior Policy Adviser to State and Federal Governments, as well as supporting the Nigerian Bar Association on expanding the use of international law to protect internally displaced persons.
