R v SA, Aylesbury Crown Court [2026]
Represented a defendant charged with harassment, assault by beating, intentional strangulation and intimidation. The case concerned a neighbour dispute with the crown relying on CCTV footage and covert phone recordings of the client. The client was acquitted of all charges.

R v SV, Leicester Crown Court [2025]
Defence counsel in a multi-handed, 10-day contested trial for violent disorder, involving detailed cell-site evidence and extensive forensic analysis.

R v TS, Cambridge Crown Court [2025]
Represented a young man at sentence for offences of intentional strangulation and assault arising from a domestic incident. Following detailed mitigation, he successfully persuaded the court to take the exceptional course of not imposing immediate custody. The client received a suspended sentence order with conditions.

Background

Abdul brings substantial experience in policy and law reform to his practice, including as the first Linklaters Legal Fellow at JUSTICE in 2022, where he worked on criminal and human rights law projects affecting marginalised communities and contributed to its report: Lowering the Standard.

Before practising in the UK, he qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor in Nigeria in 2019, and served as a Senior Policy Adviser to State and Federal Governments, as well as supporting the Nigerian Bar Association on expanding the use of international law to protect internally displaced persons.
