Tetevi’s practice encompasses all areas of criminal defence, including serious violence, drugs and white-collar crime as well as appeals, inquiries and international law. He has an established Crown Court practice and acts privately in the magistrates’ and youth courts.

Notable Cases
R v IJ (ongoing) – The case involves the alleged attempted shooting of, high-profile UK rap artist, Nathaniel Thompson (aka “Giggs”) at a music event in Peckham.
R v BH (ongoing) – Led Junior in an alleged conspiracy to import over 100kg cocaine from Jamaica and Antigua. The case involves the National Crime Agency, UK Border Force and The Metropolitan Police Service.
R v HN & others (ongoing) – Junior alone in a multi-handed conspiracy to facilitate the commission of a breach of UK immigration law by several Ugandan nationals.
R v RBL & others (2025) – Led junior in a conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life involving high-profile music artists “Fredo” and “Digga-D”. The case involved complex legal arguments advanced in preparatory hearings on the limits and scope of the admissibility of “gangs” evidence.
R v LG & others (2024) – Acted as junior alone on behalf of one of seven defendants in a case of threatening to take revenge (witness intimidation).
R v AB (2024) – Successfully represented a defendant charged with the possession of false identity documents and fraud by false representation (£50,000).

Tetevi appears in the Criminal Court of Appeal in appeals against conviction and sentence.
R v RB (ongoing)
Tetevi is currently instructed in an appeal against conviction relating to a recent High-profile firearms case at Kingston Crown Court.
R v Young (Tyrel) [2025] EWCA Crim 359 – Successful appeal against sentence in the Court of Appeal.
The case concerned the correct approach to sentencing defendants who were youths at the time of an offence and the application of the principle of totality. A reduction in the Appellant’s sentence for several knife-point robberies led to his immediate release.

International Crime and Conflict Law
Overview
Prior to coming to the Bar, Tetevi worked at the International Criminal Court in The Hague where he was based in the Legal Advisory Section of the Office of the Prosecutor. In this capacity, he provided legal research on request to various divisions of the Court, including the Investigations Divisions and worked closely with the Court’s former Deputy Prosecutor.
He has also worked at the UN International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. In this role, he worked closely with Judge Koffi Afande in the Court’s Appeal Chamber assisting him with legal research memoranda and opinions.
