He is an experienced trial advocate with a broad practice in general crime, financial crime and extradition. Will has a particular expertise in cases engaging human rights issues, including modern slavery, public order and protest.

Will regularly represents clients in the Crown Court, Youth Court, and Magistrates’ Court, as well as appearing in the Court of Appeal and the High Court in respect of a range of offences. He has successfully defended young people and adults, including those charged with serious assaults, sexual offences, possession of drugs and weapons, and robbery.

Protest Rights
Overview
Will has developed a particular specialism in protest and public order cases. As a pupil, he assisted Tom Wainwright in the trial of the Colston Four. He has since represented individuals in the Crown Court and the Magistrates’ Court, who protest in support of a range of causes, including Extinction Rebellion, Just Stop Oil, Insulate Britain, Black Lives Matter and Palestine Action.

Overview
Will is experienced in representing vulnerable child defendants, who are often in care and have mental health issues. He has acted for youth clients in the Crown Court and often acts in complex cases on certificates for counsel in the Youth Court. Will has particular experience acting in cases involving victims of trafficking and modern slavery, and those suffering from mental disorders.

Financial Crime and Confiscation
Overview
Will accepts instructions in fraud and confiscation cases. As a solicitor, Will acted on a number of complex international fraud and asset tracing cases involving, among other things, insider trading, market manipulation, money laundering and bribery. He is experienced in analysing complex, paper-heavy cases, often spanning multiple jurisdictions. He has experience advising on Companies Act offences, as well as POCA related matters, including property and account freezing orders.

Asylum and Extradition
Overview
Will accepts instructions in both extradition and asylum and is currently acting on a number of complex political asylum cases. He has worked on a number of complex Part 2 extradition cases. As a solicitor, Will advised on and prepared asylum claims for a number of politically exposed individuals and dissidents across a range of jurisdictions. He also advised on the attendant risks of extradition and issues relating to INTERPOL Red Notices and Diffusions.
