To begin our celebrations of Refugee Week 2019 this roundtable, held in conjunction with the Refugee Council, seeks to develop our thinking and ideas on family reunion for child refugees.
Since the important decision in AT and another (Article 8 ECHR – Child Refugee – Family Reunification : Eritrea) [2016] UKUT 227 (IAC) many individual cases and appeals have been heard and there has been significant campaign and parliamentary activity.

We want to share experiences and knowledge with other interested parties with a view to developing a clearer strategy to inform and support organisations working with and representing child refugees to make more applications for family reunion for children and to encourage best practice and success in such applications.
