We are excited to have been shortlisted for The Lawyer Awards 2022, which takes place on 12 July 2022.

The Lawyer Awards highlight the pioneering and innovative achievements of lawyers. The full shortlist is now available to view.

Members of our Public Law and Immigration Teams, together with Eversheds Sutherland, Wilsons Solicitors and Mishcon de Reya have been part of a pro bono initiative to assist members of the Afghan judiciary and legal profession to secure UK visas.

This includes collectively issuing six judicial reviews against the Government to gain visas for female Afghan judges, many of whom have been forced into hiding since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021.

Principal members of our Garden Court team involved in the initiative have been Sonali Naik QC, Irena Sabic, Maha Sardar, Ali Bandegani, Emma Fitzsimons, Maria Moodie and David Sellwood.
