Several Garden Court Barristers made opening submissions on behalf of core participants at the UK Covid-19 Inquiry in Module 5.

Module 5, ‘Procurement’, of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry formally opened on 24 October 2023. The broadcast of public hearings began today, with core participants making opening submissions to the Inquiry.

Module 5 aims to consider and make recommendations regarding the procurement and distribution to end-users across the four nations of the United Kingdom of key healthcare related equipment and supplies, including PPE, ventilators and oxygen.

Our Leslie Thomas KC made opening submissions on behalf of the Federation of Ethnic Minority Healthcare Organisations (FEMHO). Our Una Morris is also on the legal team, instructed by Cyrilia Knight of Saunders Law.
