Several Garden Court Barristers made closing submissions on behalf of core participants at the UK Covid-19 Inquiry in Module 10.

Module 10, ‘Impact on Society’, the last module of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry came to an end this week, with Chair Rt Hon Baroness Hallett DBE hearing closing submissions from core participants. A number of these were presented by members of Garden Court Chambers.

This module examined the impact of Covid-19 on the UK with a particular focus on key workers, the most vulnerable, the bereaved, mental health and wellbeing. It will investigate the impact of the pandemic and the measures put in place to combat the disease and any disproportionate impact.

The Module 10 closing submissions for each of our members can be found below:

Liz Davies KC of Garden Court made an opening submission on behalf of core participant, The Domestic Abuse Group, consisting of Southall Black Sisters, Solace Women’s Aid & Latin American Women’s Rights Services.
