Palestine Action’s co-founder Huda Ammori has been given permission to appeal to the UK Supreme Court to challenge the Home Secretary’s decision to proscribe the group as a terrorist organisation.
On 13 February 2026, the Divisional Court ruled that the Home Secretary’s decision was an unlawful interference with the right to protest as protected under Articles 10 and 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The Government appealed, and on 15 June 2026, the Court of Appeal, sitting as a five-member panel including the Lady Chief Justice and the Master of the Rolls, overturned the Divisional Court’s decision.
The Supreme Court has now granted permission to appeal against the decision of the Court of Appeal. The appeal is likely to be heard later this year.
