Family Law

Overview

Rachel has a busy practice representing clients in public and private law matters. She has extensive experience representing individuals in private children applications, and is also instructed in care proceedings in the Family Court and High Court for local authorities, parents and children.

Rachel has worked on cases involving allegations of parental alienation, domestic abuse, rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, emotional, sexual and physical abuse, and cases involving serious non-accidental injuries.

Rachel is experienced in working with vulnerable clients and frequently works alongside intermediaries. Rachel accepts instructions at all stages of proceedings.

Overview

Rachel has an interest in Court of Protection cases through her experience of representing vulnerable clients in family proceedings, and is developing a practice in this area.

Civil Liberties and Human Rights

Overview

Rachel has successfully represented claimants in civil damages claims for false imprisonment and assault and has experience of trials in the county court.

Rachel also has recent experience working as part of the Counsel to the Inquiry team in The Undercover Policing Inquiry (UCPI).
